Inflatable furniture mimicking fruity behaviour.
This inflatable lounge chair was developed as part of the ‘Frucht und Paradies’ project at the UDK Berlin. The basis of this project derived from the physical properties of a black berry. When you squeeze the fruit the structure breaks down and forms itself around your fingers. I tried to recreate this action within a piece of furniture.
This project was selected and displayed in the ‘Design Transfer’ exhibition as part of DesignMai Berlin.
